See how clever it is. This is Marketing 101, if you are a company trying to make inroads in a foreign market. You shouldnt go all drums beating saying how awesome you and your products really are. No, you start with the very basic, your company/product name. Especially if your original name could be troublesome for the mass to pronounce. Maybe in your country the name means uber cool, but that doesnt mean it will translate that well in the new culture. Having that basic understanding is extremely crucial. If your name does sound funny and that catches on, you will be doomed forever.

That is the reason what Huawei has done is here is simple, clever and very effective. Whoever has seen this is never going to forget how to pronounce it, and wherever they hear someone pronouncing it wrong, they will jump in educate the uninitiated. I know I would !!
